QPR Training

4x5 is proud to begin offering QPR Gatekeeper Training

Most people who are struggling with suicide don’t reach out to professionals—they signal it to the people they see every day on the job.

In construction, we don’t ignore warning signs—we act. Yet our industry has the second-highest suicide rate of any occupation—nearly 4x the general population. We lose 5x more people to suicide than to the “Fatal Four.”

We’ve trained our teams to respond to physical emergencies. The question is: are we prepared to respond to a mental health crisis?

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) equips everyday people to recognize the warning signs of someone in distress and take action. As a gatekeeper, you learn how to:
• Question someone who may be struggling
• Persuade them to accept help
• Refer them to professional support

This evidence-based training, listed in the Suicide Prevention Resource Center Best Practices Registry. It is designed for everyone, practical, accessible, and completed in about 90 minutes.

Just like any safety initiative, this is about creating a culture where we look out for each other.

Join 4x5 in building a network of trained gatekeepers—because the risk is real, and preparation saves lives.

You will learn how to:
